A lightweight waterproof jacket designed specifically for climbers in the most extreme conditions. Fully featured and body mapped in GORE-TEX Pro and Active to deliver the best protection verses weight.
Created for climbers facing harsh, hostile weather, the Women's Muztag GTX Jacket is a lightweight but durable waterproof. Combining a tough 40D GORE-TEX® Pro body with highly breathable 30D GORE-TEX Active panels in high heat areas, this fully-featured specialist jacket offers ultimate protection without the weight penalty.
Designed with an active fit, the zoned fabric and articulated design are well suited to those moving over challenging ground. On long, arduous walk-ins, the hidden 2-way pit zips allow easy venting, however, are soft enough to remain unnoticed when not in use. The helmet-compatible hood of the Muztag GTX is specific to Rab with a unique three-way adjustable system that excels in poor weather and high winds.
The Muztag GTX has a 2-way YKK® VISLON® AquaGuard® front zip for ease of use when belaying, and built-in knuckle protection to minimise water ingress with gloves. Any essentials can be stashed clear of a harness in two large chest pockets, or tucked away in the internal mesh storage pocket or zipped security pocket. Fit can be refined on the go with single-handed hem adjustment and hook and loop cuffs.

Rab's Womens Muztag Gore-Tex Jacket is designed to take a beating from the elements so you don't have to. The combination of Gore-Tex Pro and Active provide a good balance between protection and performance. The solid 40D Pro provides serious protection while the Active allows for much improved breathability where it is needed most. The alpine oriented design shows in the climber friendly fit, large chest pockets and fully adjustable hood.
Solid cuffs and hood work brilliantly to keep out the worst of the weather and are supper durable when the jacket sees heavy usage. The helmet compatible hood adjusts fairly easily and although it feels cavernous without a helmet it can still be fitted pretty well. Solid, weather resistant zips provide reliability with the main zip having a large, glove friendly tab for ease of use. There is also a small, secure, stretchy inner pocket and simple stretch mesh drop pocket for additional storage options. Although I've not had the chance to test this in full winter conditions yet it has handled the wind and rain from numerous storms with ease.
