The Spark is a super versatile jacket designed to go anywhere and get involved in anything! The lightweight, durable waterproof fabric is combined with simple but effective features to make a great jacket that certainly provides value for money.
From hiking, biking and mountain running to hill walking, kayaking and trekking, the Women’s Spark Jacket is the do-it-all shell for outdoor enthusiasts who never miss an opportunity.
While the design and features of the Women’s Spark Jacket closely resemble those of our Zenith Jacket, the use of 40D Pertex Shield 2.5L fabric rather than GORE-TEX makes it a much more accessible garment. Like that more specialised climbing model, the Spark uses a helmet-compatible hood, harness-compatible chest pockets and articulated sleeves. But it compensates for the added weight of more robust fabrics by omitting the adjustable hem and hood and by replacing the pit zips with simple but effective envelope vents. The result is one of the most versatile multi-purpose women’s outdoor jackets on the market.
With its durable but lightweight construction, its active cut and its carefully selected multi-application features, the Women’s Spark Jacket balances weight and practicality to outstanding effect.

Rab's Women's Charge Waterproof Jacket has got even lighter and more versatile. The use of Pertex Shield+ allows it to achieve high ratings and stay lightweight. The jacket also has stretch properties which make it more comfortable to move around in so whether you're running, cycling or hiking it is designed to cope. The use of 40D fabric ensure that it's more durable and able to deal with varied activities, where you may be wearing a heavy pack for example.
Feature-wise that jacket has been updated with a helmet compatible hood, articulated arms with help massively for climbing and cycling, reflective detailing and chest pockets (with one doubling as a stuff sack). This revised jacket is even lighter than the previous models without sacrificing durability or versatility which is a great achievement.
