Marmot's Women's Pre-Cip Eco Plus Jacket is a slightly different take on the Precip Eco Jacket in terms of design. It still uses Marmot's own NanoPro Eco waterproof fabric which offers good breathability and a robust durable face fabric, but has a few changes when it comes to the feature set.

Marmot says:

Meet the environmentally conscious and high-performing next generation of waterproofing: the lightweight PreCip Eco Plus Jacket. The waterproof/breathable, PFC-free Marmot NanoPro™ recycled nylon face fabric lasts longer, thanks to the advanced technology of 100% PFC-Free Entrant HSDT microporous coating. Sturdier and more durable and with a patented dry-touch finish, this water-repelling jacket will keep you protected during planned treks in stormy weather and as a just-in-case piece in your pack for unexpected downpours.

This jacket has an updated, more modern fit and also features fully taped seams to prevent leaks and heat-releasing underarm PitZips to keep you cool. Adjustable VELCRO® cuffs provide additional protection against the elements while Angel-Wing Movement™ ensures you’ll be able to reach, bend, and stretch comfortably. Zippered hand pockets provide quick storage while the elastic waist gives you a secure yet comfortable fit. When it’s time to call it a day, the entire jacket stuffs into its own zippered pocket.

The main difference is that the main zip no longer has an external flap, instead being replaced with a water resistant zip with a backing flap. This might not seem like a huge difference but some people prefer the 'flap-less' design.  The attached hood has also had a change, it no longer rolls into the collar making what looks like a cleaner design, while also adding a peripheral cord adjustment to the hood which I find easier to use for a closer fit.

These small changes have made the overall weight of the Plus version lighter, but not by much. The pocket zips still feature flaps, as do the pit zips. We like pit zips because they are a really effective way to vent a jacket, and its surprising how little rain gets in when the pit zips are open.

There's a small difference in price between the Precip Eco and Precip Eco Plus Jackets but not by much. They are both accomplished designs with a decent fabric at a good price. Being a US Brand the jackets zips from the wrong side (for the UK).
