Mont-Bell's Torrent Flier Goretex Paclite Jacket is a lightweight, waterproof jacket that is packed with features making it versatile, comfortable and highly effective in bad weather. The Torrent flier jacket utilises Gore-Tex's renowned fabric to create a fully waterproof and highly breathable jacket. This jacket uses highly water-resistant zips that add extra rain protection to the user.
The chest pocket is a good size for small pieces of kit that you need to hand eg. camera, phone, compass. Pit zips are very handy and help to ventilate the jacket keeping you drier on the inside. The peaked hood features adjustment around the back of your head as well as around your face, this will give a superb fit and will make sure that the hood moves with your head.
By combining 2.5 layer Paclite technology, lightweight 12 denier nylon, and holding true to a "no frills" design ethic we are able to bring a sub 9 ouncerain shell to market. The Torrent Flier Jacket offers generous pit zips and simple cuff and hem adjustability. This one pocket, semi-fitted piece is great for the old school minimalist who revels in the quest for backcountry solitude.

Fully featured Goretex Paclite rainshell. Built to keep the weight very low the Mont-Bell Torrent Flier nontheless has wired hood with `around the head` cinch cord so that the hood moves with you underarm pitzips to help with ventilation and a small chest pocket which is frankly very small and only useful for small items.
We like pit zips because they vent a jacket very well not a popular feature in the UK but having used them before we think they work well you can even have them partially open during light rain and the water doesn`t seem to get to you. The zips are the water resistant type and the main zip is backed by an internal rain channel. All in all a light jacket with some good features and the reassurance of Goretex performance.
