The Womens Altus Jacket is a quick drying, synthetic insulated jacket with a light-weight Pertex Quantum shell, ideal for cold and damp environments.
With the introduction of Cirrus™ we have harnessed decades of down expertise to evolve a synthetic technology that offers a genuine alternative.
Cirrus combines the warmth to weight benefits of down with the wet-weather performance of synthetics, including rapid dry times that allow the insulating fibres to recover quickly, creating the perfect option for warm layering in cold, damp, changeable conditions. Our new Altus jacket is the latest incarnation in our Cirrus range; lightweight with a slim fit, elasticated cuffs and a durable Pertex® Quantum fabric. The Altus is a streamlined alternative to the Nebula and Nimbus, and will withstand sleet, snow and sideways rain during the winter months.

Rab's Women's Altus Jacket is basically the Women's Nimbus Jacket but without the hood. It's filled with Cirrus which is the new breakthrough insulation which combines almost all the key benefits of natural down and synthetic fillings, whilst avoiding their limitations. It will keep it's warmth for longer than other insulation, even after multiple washes.
The stitch-through baffle construction ensures that the moisture-repelling insulation doesn't spread or bunch, preventing cold spots from forming. The baffles on the Women's version looks a little different as the baffle lines spread diagonally, creating an arrow looking effect which is slightly more flattering than horizontal lines. In terms of features, it has lycra bound elasticated cuffs and hem drawcord, 1 zipped internal security pocket for handy essentials and 2 large zipped hand warmer pockets. The left side pocket also doubles as an integrated stuff sack for increased packability.
