Marmot's Fusion Jacket offers a good level of protection yet remains quite lightweight despite having hand pockets and a small chest pocket.
Marmot says: On the go in fickle conditions? The athletic fitting Fusion Jacket is made with protective Marmot M2 soft shell, which integrates a windproof body and sleeves with stretchy side panels and back to increase mobility. We dialed it down to the details with reflectivity and a draw cord hem.

A leading pioneer of Softshells, Marmot created the M Series to offer a wide array of softshell fabric technologies and construction. The M Series fabrics are designed for moving light and fast. They combine stretchable, water repellent, abrasion resistant and highly breathable shell materials with insulating buffer materials on the inside.
M2 Softshells offer a great balance between weather resistance, breathability and thermal protection, excellent for a wide range of aerobic activities in moderate conditions.
Marmot's Fusion Softshell Jacket uses a lightweight fabric that nonetheless offers a higher degree of protection from some others. It also results in a jacket that's still very lightweight despite having twin hand pockets and a small chest pocket.
The fabric has a high degree of stretch and is very comfortable to wear, this type of garment is ideal for 3 season changeable conditions where you'd wear it to provide some insulation but it would also shrug off the odd shower.
The cuffs are simply finished and incorporate thumb loops. There's a cinch cord adjustment at the body hem.
