Using lightweight Quantum Pro outer fabric and filled with 650+ fill power down, the women's Montane Cloudmaker Jacket delivers reassuring core body warmth, while allowing excellent freedom of movement for belaying or climbing.
The Jacket offers a good amount of features considering it's moderate weight and price tag. There’s the two fleece lined hand warmer pockets, a fully adjustable hood, Velcro cuff adjustment, a dual hem adjustment and a two-way zip. So far, pretty good. And it gets better. The hood is wire-peaked and helmet compatible, making those cold winter belays a lot more comfortable. There’s an additional zip pocket and stretch mesh pocket inside the jacket for storing more accessories.
The inner is filled with 212g of 650+ FP HyperDRY down which has been treated with a fluorocarbon-free water-resistance treatment, and the Pertex Quantum Pro outer fabric has a DWR coating to improve tolerance of damper conditions. The down baffles across the back are vertical while the baffles on the front are slanted. These are simple stitch through baffles so the cost has stayed much lower than box wall options.
