Lowe Alpine's Tacana pants are made from two way stretch Stormweave softshell fabric which we've tested - it performs well in changeable conditions.
Lowe Alpine says: Performance and reliability when you need it! Super comfortable, lightweight, water resistant, Soft Shell pants with added stretch to provide all day mountain comfort. The use of Stormweave technology allows for superior moisture control with in-built toughness to make the Tacana Pants a must-have piece of kit for outdoor adventure.
Lowe Alpine Stormweave - Stormweave fabrics are constructed with a doubleweave technique that uses finer yearns on the face of the fabric with thicker ones on the back. This combination creates a natural pull/push effect, where moisture is drawn into the fabric by the thicker yarns that are closer to the wearer.
Then, via capillary action, the moisture is spread across the finer yarns for more efficient evaporation.
Current Stormweave fabrics use strong nylon yarns to produce a garment that is wind and weather resistant, tough and durable. Elastic Spandex is added to provide stretch performance.
Stormweave is super comfortable for day-long wear.
Lowe Alpine's Tacana Pants are made from a durable Stormweave fabric that sheds the weather very well making these ideal for colder more changeable weather. There are twin zipped pockets at the front a press stud fastening above a zipped fly. The Tacana pants come with a webbing belt and some nice logo detailing on the leg. Articulated knees.
Not as light as some of our other pants.
