The Race Ultra Shell HZ is an ultra lightweight, waterproof, breathable running jacket made from transparent 4-way stretch fabric.

The Race Ultra Shell HZ is inov-8's lightest ever water proof jacket and is the ideal piece of kit for mountain and ultra athletes who want to race as light and fast as possible. The key feature of this jacket is the 4-way stretch fabric shell that's fully transparent so you can still see your race numbers underneath at all times.

As well as being super lightweight, it packs down really small into its own pouch inside of the hood making it compact and easy to carry. The thumb loops and elasticated cuffs/hem help prevent too much unwanted movement in the jacket when running in windy conditions. The waterproof half zip has an internal storm flap which keeps the cold and wet out while feeling soft against your skin.
