HIGH LOFT™ - LIGHTWEIGHT INSULATION
Polartec® High Loft™ takes fleece comfort and thermal warmth to greater heights.
By creating a patented high loft fiber structure, this material is ultra soft and highly compressible. Extended polyester yarns create large air pockets to retain more thermal warmth, while keeping this insulation lightweight. High Loft™ has the greatest warmth to weight ratio of all Polartec® fleece fabric technologies.

ABOUT HIGH LOFT™ TECHNOLOGY
Polartec® High Loft™ is another milestone in the evolution of Polartec’s synthetic fleece fabric platforms.
The body’s natural warmth is contained in thermal air pockets constructed from precision knit, napped, and sheared polyester. High Loft™ consists of hydrophobic yarns that repel moisture and speed dry times. This symmetrical design is not only soft, but also reduces surface friction for versatile layering options.
Our View on Polartec High Loft:
High Loft fleece is brilliant, really cosy, it looks and feels like fur. All that loft must capture more air making it a better insulator than other fleece fabrics. Its looks great to. We think these are great for day use on the hills or casual use around town. The main reason we wouldn't take one backpacking is that they don't compact as well as other insulation, though they compare well with any other fleece - we wouldn't take a fleece backpacking either.
