OMM have combined the super lightweight windproof fabric from the Sonic Smock with the active insulation from the new Core range. This provides a warm and weather resistant layer for intense activities in colder conditions.
The SuperSonic Smock combines PointZero windproof shell with the insulation of PRIMALOFT® NEXT Insulating Fabric Technology 75g lining.
PRIMALOFT® NEXT Insulating Fabric Technology synthetic plume is woven directly onto a single layer mesh fabric. Made entirely from PRIMALOFT® NEXT Evolve the fabric offers the same warmth as other synthetic insulation products but with half the weight and the breathability better than a long sleeve tee.
The PointZero windproof has an incredibly low weight and pack size. The SuperSonic is an ultra light, insulating windproof jacket that has a place on any adventure, weighing only 185g.
WINDPROOF: PointZero fabric offers unrivalled lightweight windproofing without compromising breathability. A Durable Water Repellancy (DWR) provides good weather protection if things turn squally.
CORE INSULATION: PRIMALOFT® NEXT Insulating Fabric Technology is directly woven on to a mesh fabric reducing the need for extra fabric layers and weight whilst providing unmatched venting. Using 58% post-consumer recycled material, it is bluesign® and Oeke-Tex® approved.
ULTRA LIGHT & PACKABLE: The SuperSonic stuffs into its own pocket creating a tiny pack for any adventure.
OMM's SuperSonic Insulated Smock combines their tried and tested PointZero windproof fabric and Primaloft's Next insulating fabric which is designed to add a layer of warmth for cold weather exercise. The focus of the insulating material is moisture management and regulating your body temperature as much as possible when running or hiking while the outer layer provide some much appreciated wind and general weather protection. This is a winning combination for running and hiking.
The jacket has a nice high collar for a little extra coverage, a great kangaroo pocket with a secure zip pocket inside that doubles as the stuff sack and elasticated cuffs and hem. The insulated lining is loosely attached to the windproof outer so it can be a bit of a pain putting it on and taking it off, particularly when you're sweaty and depending on the material of your baselayer.
