Outdoor Research's Transcendent Sweater uses 650 Fill Power down combined with a water resistant ripstop outer shell to produce a very able down jacket.
Outdoor Research says: Warm, compressible and weighing practically nothing, the Transcendent Sweater is built to keep you comfortably insulated when the temperature drops, then stuff away into a corner of your pack when not needed. The sweater's 650 fill down fends off the cold when you're huddled at camp, yet stows neatly for uphill slogs.
For multi-day treks, it packs down so small and light you'll have a hard time not finding space to bring it along.

Outdoor Research's Transcendent Sweater is a down filled hoodless jacket with a water resistant outer shell for maximum flexibility. The down Fill Power is 650, which is not the highest but still considered to be premium, but this is reflected in the price of the jacket.
Its well made with the right features, twin handwarmer pockets are lined on the front with micro fleece and the left hand one doubles as a stuffsack. There's a virtually invisible chest pocket which is quite large although wouldn't take an OS map. With an internal flap backing the main zip, a cinchable hem and simple elasticated binding on the cuffs the Transcendent sweater ticks all the right boxes as a lightweight, technical insulation piece.
