Marmot's Pre-Cip Anorak is a smock version of the classic Precip Jacket, packed with useful features and backed by an impressive fabric performance.
A new take on top-selling Marmot PreCip rainwear, this pullover half-zip anorak has waterproof breathable NanoPro fabric and seam-taped for weather protection, and stows away in its own pocket.
Marmot's Pre-Cip Anorak is based on the classic Precip Jacket. It uses Marmots own in house fabric which has a good waterproof rating and a good breathability score. Whilst being pretty light its not in the same category as some of our ultralight shells, this is because the face fabric is a bit heavier and hence will be more durable. This locates the Pre-Cip Anorak in the mid range category.
It is lighter than the Precip Jacket as it's only has half of the zip but with the same internal and external flap which some think is a more effective arrangement than a water resistant zip with backing flap.
The hood has a brim but its not wired, and the volume adjustment is via a velcro strip at the back. It stuffs into it's own front pocket which is good for saving space in you pack.
Its an accomplished design with a decent fabric at a good price.
