Montane's Minimus Grand Tour is a version of Montane's exemplary Minimus range that is aimed particularly at backpackers - it has a longer cut and heavier fabric in the shoulders and hip area. The heavier fabric is relative of course - its still super lightweight. There's only one pocket on the jacket - on the chest, though its quite a large one.
There's a good hood with adjustment so that it moves with you. Pertex Shield+ fabric is a proven performer making this jacket eminently suitable for trekking and long distance backpacking - although I'd probably take something a bit tougher if I was either carrying a heavy rucksack or going into an environment where rain was common and prolonged.
