Light, stretchy Soft Shell pants that repel wind and moisture, the ideal choice for rock climbing, summer scrambles and heading into the hills.

Mountain Equipment says:

Lightweight EXOLITE 125 fabric is stretchy, wind resistant and fast drying to make it perfect for long approaches and mountain crags. Our Active fit with slim ankle excels when moving rapidly on technical terrain and ensures unhindered movement when climbing hard pitches.

Mountain Equipment's Comici Pants use tough softshell fabric with good stretch to provide a comfy fit, the pants are also shaped around the knees to give you a more comfortable fit, this is really beneficial when going uphill, climbing or scrambling. The integrated belt is easy-to-use and is a good addition to the pants, it's also fully removable if you prefer to use your own.

The four pockets are all a useful size and they all have zip closures, something you don't always get on trekking trousers.

Fab lightweight softshell pants

The Comici Pants have been my favourite pant through Spring to Autumn this year. They manage to be cool enough during hot 30C+ days and also warm enough on windy Autumnal days. They manage to shed a shower pretty well too. Despite being light they have held up to loads of use and still look like new. The stretch makes them all day comfy even with the slim fitting legs (I prefer a slim leg - hate flapping trouser legs on my outdoor trousers).

Comfy and tough

First impressions were very comfortable and light but with some concerns about durability given the abuse I dish out to my clothes. I have found them surprisingly warm and windproof. My concern about durability has proved unfounded as they have stood up to numerous climbing days without a mark. Excellent pair of trousers.
