Montane's Tor Pants are lightweight yet tough climbing pants with a good amount of stretch. They're made form GRANITE Variant fabric with CORDURA yarns which provides stylish durability and lightweight strength. The fabrics resistant to tears, scruffs and abrasions which makes them ideal for climbing and mountain walking.

The fabric of the pants feels soft against your skin and the microfleece lined waistband adds to the comfort. The fit is a little more baggy compared to some pants, though they can be taken in at the bottom with the press stud hem adjustment. Theres two large front hand pockets and two deep rear pockets, all of which are open, but there is and extra zipped security pocket inside the right hand pocket for securing important valuables.

It comes with a removable webbing belt which is low bulk enough to wear comfortably under layers, packs or a harness.

Not really durable

I bought these 280g pants to replace a pair of 420g, 15 year old Marmot softshell pants which are not windproof enough. My plan was to use new lightweight pants on their own and to add waterproof overtrousers for harsh conditions. While the Tor pants were really comfortable to wear and the look was pretty nice, they obtained half a dozen of micro-tears during just 3 weeks of mountain hiking. Maybe I'm asking too much from this material, but my way more used old Marmots already look like a fashionable evening garment in comparison. Naming Tor fabric as "granite" seems a joke to me.
