Montane's Alpine Mission Pants are heavy duty winter walking/mountaineering trousers with a full feature set. These pants are built to last but not at the expense of comfort. The stretchy is material soft on the skin and doesn't restrict your movement.
The Alpine Mission Pants are warm but breathable with 2 way thigh vents to further release moisture if temperatures rise or your pushing yourself. The Granite Stretch Thermal Nylon gives you some weather resistance but are not waterproof, if the heavens open you need additional protection.
To keep the pants in place whatever your activity there is in built elasticated velcro adjustment at the waist and removable braces. 4 zipped pockets give you plenty of storage options. At the ankles there are reinforced Kevlar patched to stop any damage from crampons. The zipped ankle gussets makes it easy to accommodate mountaineering boots.
