Haglofs' Pallas Jacket is a really intelligent use of Polartec Alpha technology. Weight for weight Polartec Alpha is only about half the insulation value of leading synthetic insulation such as Haglofs Quadfusion+ - however it offers much better breathability so its more suitable for strenuous activity. There are alternative insulation garments that are more suited to wearing around camp - Polartec Alpha is about keeping you vented even though you are also being kept insulated.
To get the best of both insulation technologies Haglofs have zoned the jacket with Quadfusion in most areas but Polartec Alpha in the back and inside sleeves, thus giving you breathable warmth where you need it most.
Feature-wise the Pallas offers two small chest pockets (no 'handwarmer' pockets), a simple hood with a high closure level at the front and optional thumb loops via an elasticated wrist gaiter. Hen and cuffs are finished with an elasticated binding.
