Warm, breathable and exceptionally comfrotable; the perfect mountain layer for everything from the most difficult alpine climbing to ski-touring and hiking.
Mountain Equipment says:
With a lightweight, air permeable stretch shell and breathable POLARLOFT synthetic insulation the Transition strikes the perfect balance between warmth, comfort and mobility for any stop-start mountain activity. Comfortable worn alone through a range of conditions it becomes the ideal mid-layer in the most severe weather.
Mountain Equipment's Transition Insulated Jacket is deigned to remove excess heat and moisture effectively when moving yet insulate effectively when static. The outer 30D fabric is highly breathable, wind resistant and offers a good amount of stretch for most activities. The POLARLOFT insulation dries faster than down once wet and offers a good amount of warmth for it's weight.
As for storage, there are two zipped pockets you can use to warm up your hands as well as a zipped inner pocket. The jacket also packs down small into it's own pocket for easy transport.
Overall a warm and highly breathable active insulation jacket ideal for stop/start cold weather use.
