Marmot's Ether DriClime Hoody offers a closer fit with technical wicking properties to keep you comfortable while your working hard on the trail. Now updated with Recycled fabrics.

Marmot says:

Wind, rain, intense activity—the Men's Ether DriClime Hoody is a versatile shell that can handle it all. This wind-resistant and water-repellent shell will keep you dry, warm, and comfortable. The DriClime® Bi-Component lining wicks away sweat. Mesh underarm vents improve airflow so you stay cool even when the intensity of your adventure picks up. This shell also packs into its own pocket to conserve pack space. 360-degree reflectivity provides visibility and safety.

Marmot's Ether DriClime Hoody can be worn next to the skin or over a thin baselayer. The way it works is the fleecy liner wicks sweat very effectively and then the outer fabric gets rid of it.

The DriClime range works well to keep you comfortable while you're working hard outdoors, but it also offers decent weather protection. The fleecey lining obviously makes this a viable option for 3 season use, but the outer fabric also offers a degree of wind resistance & water repellency.

Two zippered hand pockets and one at the chest add a bit more functionality to the Ether DriClime that is sometimes lacking from other similar garments.

This newest version of the Ether Driclime Hoodie has been updated with 100% recycled nylon double mini ripstop fabric. It's good to see more brands thinking about the environment.

Incredibly versatile

I've been wearing this for cycling, year round walking and a 2 month back packing trip to northern Norway. It is the most versatile piece of gear I own and would be the first thing I would recommend to any one. If I'm working hard and its cool/wet I'll wear it next to my skin and not bother with a rain jacket as this keeps drizzle out for quite a long time, and if it gets worse and wets through, it remains incredibly warm and comfortable thanks to the micro pile lining. On backpacking trips I wear a merino base layer under it for added insulation and to keep it from getting smelly so quickly. In Norway where it rained a lot I wore this all the time, only donning my waterproofs over the top when it got really bad, even then it minimises the clammy feeling inside thanks to that micro pile. It is the perfect combination of wind proof and breathable. My only slight criticisms would be that the pile lining stops about 4 inches up the sleeve so when it gets damp your wrist tends to feel clammy and uncomfortable and I'm not sure of the logic behind this. Also for cycling the back tends to rise up, but a backpack stops this being a problem for me.
