Marmot's Limatour pants combine lightweight softshell fabric with a comprehensive set of features and pockets. Very stretchy and reinforced areas make them very practical.
Marmot says: The Limantour Pant is a lightweight, versatile and robust softshell pant. The softshell stretch fabric is exceptionally wind and water resistant and dries quickly. Items like keys and wallet can be safely stashed in the zipped pockets. Ideal for hiking, climbing or via ferratas.
A leading pioneer of Softshells, Marmot created the M Series to offer a wide array of softshell fabric technologies and construction. The M Series fabrics are designed for moving light and fast. They combine stretchable, water repellent, abrasion resistant and highly breathable shell materials with insulating buffer materials on the inside.
M3 Softshells are the most breathable softshells in the collection, best for high aerobic activities in drier, milder conditions.
Marmot's Limatour pants are incredibly stretchy and in the main made from thin and lightweight fabric. They come in as quite a heavy trekking pant because of the features, open hand pockets at the front (I.e. no zips), two zipped pockets on the thighs and one zipped rear pocket.
Reinforcement areas of heavier fabric and a microfleece inner waistband add more weight - but what you get is a well designed, very comfortable and practical pair of trekking pants that will be comfortable in a range of temperatures. The lightweight softshell fabric will shrug off light showers and save you having to wear overtrousers in changeable conditions.
