Tried and tested

For brief and light showers these work OK, but don't get it twisted, any sort of heavy rain and these let in a fair amount of water. In the Lake District in windy rain these let in water in almost no time and I was drenched waist down, where as my ggretex paclite jacket held up much better. I also use for an emergency while commuting in London, but even with a little rain, these let in water, particularly around the crotch within a short space of time. In summary, OK but not reliable
