The Berghaus OSS Windproof Hooded Jacket is a warm, soft and versatile fleece that offers a great amount of wind protection for those chilly windy days on the hills.
The Ben Oss is the perfect companion to keep you warm on the hill. It's windproof in key areas, which means it'll keep out the chill on those windy blustery days, and the flattering design means it's stylish enough to wear off the hill too.
Berghaus' Ben OSS Windproof Hooded Fleece Jacket is at the heavier end of fleece jackets but that just means that its warmer than lighter options. The main reason for this is that it's constructed from windproof bonded fleece that's blocked with thermal insulation.
So basically any part of the jacket in light grey is made with a windproof backer, and the rest of the areas in black is your average micro fleece to prevent you from over heating. You will notice that the back of the jacket is mostly black. This is because you won't really need the wind blocker fabric on your back if your wearing a rucksack. This allows it to breath better, preventing you from getting a sweaty back.
Features are good, three pockets to store your essentials - one zipped chest pocket (smallish) and two zipped hand warmer pockets. There's also a drawcord hem adjustment for prevention of cold spots and stretch bound hood and cuffs for flexible movement and close fit.
