RAB's Baseline Jacket is made from Polartec Power Dry which has an open weave construction that provides insulation with high passage of air through it.
Rab says: The Baseline Jacket is a full-zip fleece jacket, in a high wicking and quick drying Polartec Power Dry fabric, designed for active mid-layer use in cold conditions.
The Baseline Jacket features an under helmet hood, YKK Vislon front zip and thumb loops, ensuring that the jacket remains comfortably in position when worn as a mid-layer. Polartec Power Dry features a patented bi-component knit construction that uses different yarns on either side of the fabric. This creates two different surfaces: one that is optimised to move moisture away from the skin, the other to dry quickly.
The Baseline Jacket can be worn as a stand-alone fleece during high active use in warmer conditions.

Polartec Power Dry is an exceptional material - its ability to wick sweat away from your skin is fantastic and its so comfortable to wear. The Baseline Jacket utilises these properties the internal face of the fabric has a grid pattern which enhances comfort and helps with that wicking action.
With long sleeves to accommodate thumb loops it`s very versatile and would suit you if you`re looking for something with longer arms than you normally find. Although this is a baselayer garment it has a deep chest zip and small chest pocket - so it works well when worn on its own or indeed under a wind shell jacket.
A bit on the heavy side as a true baselayer but working as a more general purpose garment it earns its place in your pack or (more specifically) on your body.

|Help and advice:|
All our products are designed with end-use in mind. The fit of our garments reflects this, and varies across different product categories.
Slim: Close fitting, for maximum performance.
The fit of each garment makes allowances for clothing layers likely to be worn underneath it: a ‘regular fit’ shell jacket will have room for several layers underneath, whereas a ‘regular fit’ tee will not.
