Mountain Hardwear's Super/DS Down Jacket is a down jacket built around movement and durability thanks to the unique stretch baffle construction.
Mountain Hardwear says:
The Super/DS, is the ideal down jacket for climbers: lightweight insulation that is mobile, durable and warm. It's stretch baffle construction represents a new movement in down technology: the first puffy to weave face, back and baffles from a single fabric. With no bulky glues or delicate stitches, the woven baffles provide exceptional flexibility and durability, while reducing cold spots and down migration. The result is a down jacket with durable stretch.
Mountain Hardwear's Super/DS Down Jacket is a down jacket with a difference, its designed around the ability to move. It's unique stretch baffle construction is flexible and moves with you.
Unlike the stitch through baffles found on many comparable jackets there will be less cold spots. Another advantage of no stitches it will reduce down loss as the feathers can't escape. The outer fabric has a tough feel should prove durable.
Other interesting features include a large internal mesh pocket suitable for keeping hats, gloves, rock shoes etc close to hand and warm. There are two handwarmer pockets and a chest pocket with headphone slot.
The wrists are slightly elasticated and the waist can be cinched in. The jacket is cut quite short (See the Mountain Hardwear Super DS Down Climb Jacket if want something longer).
