Rab's Proton Down Jacket is effectively a lighter version of Rab's best selling Microlight Alpine. This means the jacket is light, warm and very packable (It comes with its own tiny stuff sack). The jacket is filled with responsibly sourced 800 fill power hydrophobic goose down giving a high warmth to weight ratio.
The down is housed in a stitch through construction which is zoned prioritising warmth where needed with flexibility elsewhere. The outer is a soft on the skin and made from Atmos™ ripstop nylon so it should stand up to some abuse.
There is no adjustment on the hood or cuffs which are elasticated to ensure a close fit. The hem can be adjusted to keep the wind out.
