Crux have updated their highly successful Turbo with this hooded version. It's still filled with an astonishingly high quality down (970 Fill Power) and super lightweight materials to provide exceptional warmth to weight.
Crux says:
The Neo Top is identical to the Turbo Top, but with the addition of a hood. Half Zip styles are lighter and warmer than their full-zip versions, and perfect for anyone seeking to maximise their warmth-for-weight efficiency.
The Neo Top has a large single pocket with zipped access from each side. It also doubles as a stowaway bag (complete with belt loop). Down fill quantity and quality is 77g (or 2.8 ounces) of 970 fill-power Polish goose down. The Neo Top has a stitch-through baffle construction with vertical stitch lines to further prevent movement of down. The underarm area has no down to improve air-additional permeability for cooling and to reduce weight.
The Neo Top has a water-resistant outer which is shower and moisture proof to help keep your down dry.
Crux's Neo Down Top builds on the success of the Turbo top by adding a hood for more protection and warmth. It still has an unreal warmth to weight ratio because it has the highest quality down in its baffles. In addition though, the rest of the garment is designed to be as light as possible, and that's despite having a 10D ripstop nylon outer which has a very high water resistant DWR coating to keep the down as dry as possible consistent with a midlayer garment.
With a deep front zip and kangaroo hand warmer pockets its a highly functional garment. We like that there's no down fill under the armpits because you tend not to need it there - that's more fill for the places you do need it.
The cuffs and hem are simply finished with an elasticated binding to give the lightest possible option. The stuff sack pocket is pretty standard but the addition of the belt loop on it is a nice touch.
