The Raid range of tents are designed for lightweight camping, spring/summer back packing and warm weather travel. They are all pitched inner first and have colour coded pole sleeves for easy pitching. The t10 Raid is a light 1 person tunnel tent and the g15 Raid is a generous 1 person semi-geodesic tent that could also accommodate 2 people up to 185cm in height.
The Raid tent range have a 3/4 season rating, this is because they feature large mesh panels on the inner tent, making them slightly cooler inside the winter. In all other respects, the Raid series offers full 4 season performance, although the 20 denier fabric inevitably means that the longevity of the flysheet is reduced.

Trek Tents
The Trek range of tents are designed for trekking, back packing and year round camping. They are all pitched inner-first which is the basis for their outstanding performance in wind and bad weather. This semi-geodesics Trek series is identical in design to the Hyper and Ultra series, but uses alternative fabric specifications to achieve more accessible price levels. This gives you a high performance tent for a lower price tag with just a slight increase in weight.
The Trek series tents are all 4 season tents which are tough and fully waterproof. The designs vary from 2 to 3 person tents with the choice of an extended porch for extra space.

Trail Tents
The Trail range of tents are designed for trekking, back packing and year round camping. Trail tunnel tents combine the design qualities of the top-of-the-range hyper models with the fabric and pole specifications of the established and highly regarded trek range. The result is outstanding all-round performance at a reasonable price. The trail tents offer the same multi-pitch options as the hyper range meaning they can be erected flysheet-first, inner-tent first, or integrally. The Trail tunnel tent series is identical in design to the Hyper and Ultra series, but use alternative fabric specifications to achieve more accessible price levels. The fabrics used in the trail tents strike an excellent balance of strength and weight, with a slight bias towards strength in order to cope with robust handling and to maintain long-term durability. The poles are not the lightest available but possess tremendous resilience when it comes to absorbing stress. Each trail tent comes with two types of peg to cover different ground conditions – from hard-packed earth to loose sandy soil.
The Trail series tents are all 4 season tents which are tough and fully waterproof. The designs vary from 1 to 3 person tents with the choice of an extended porch for extra space.

Ultra Tents
The Ultra range is a classic inner first pitch, semi-geodesic design and is ideal for wilderness trekking, lightweight back packing and adventure travel. Even though the flysheet fabric is silicone-coated on both sides, the flysheet seams are also factory-taped making it fully weather-proof. The new ultra poles are very easily maintained. If a section breaks, it can be simply removed and replaced in a matter of seconds. The fabrics used in the ultra tents are, in most cases, identical to those used in the hyper range of tunnel tents. They balance the conflicting requirements of strength and weight: any thinner yarn or lower fabric weight, and strength is seriously compromised. For guylines, ultra tents use a Dyneema/polyester cord that is 80% lighter than standard nylon. Each tent comes with a range of pegs to cover different ground conditions.
The Ultra series tents are all 4 season tents which are tough and fully water proof. The designs vary from 1 to 3 person tents with a choice of different porches. The Ultrix design has a modestly extended porch where as the Ultra XT has a larger extended porch.

Hyper Tents
The Hyper range of tents are designed for wilderness trekking, lightweight back packing and adventure travel. They are all multi pitch tent so they can be erected flysheet-first, inner-tent first, or integrally. Even though the flysheet fabric is silicone-coated on both sides, the flysheet seams are factory-taped making them fully weather-proof. The hyper poles are fully maintainable in the field. Should any sections fail, they are easily removed and replaced with the spares provided with each pole set. The fabrics used in the hyper tents strike a calculated balance between strength and weight (any thinner yarn or lower fabric weight, and fabric strength would be seriously compromised). For guylines, hyper tents use a Dyneema/polyester cord that is 80% lighter than standard nylon. Each tent comes with a range of different pegs to cover all ground conditions, from hard-packed earth to loose sandy soil.
These multi pitch, tunnel tents are the back bone of the Lightwave tent range as they are light enough to carry on extended wilderness treks, and strong enough to withstand the worst conditions where alternative shelter is not an option.

Mtn Tents
The Mtn is a 5 season, mountain trekking, semi-geodesic tent which is pitched inner first. Its unique design makes it exceptionally strong but incredibly light. This completely free standing tent combines a compact foot print with a spacious porch which is suitable for cooking inside. The g20 Mtn is built around Lightwave's standard three-pole semi-geodesic g20 inner tent as used in their ultra and trek ranges. But it departs from convention in its flysheet, which features a fourth, long pole that is inserted along the ridgeline. As well as enhancing the overall strength of the tent, for example under snow-loading, this also creates height in the porch area. You can increase the interior volume of the porch even more by unclipping the inner tent from the flysheet and rolling it back.
All the fabrics, poles and components used in the 2 person g20 Mtn are of the highest specification with emphasis on strength and durability rather than light weight.
