Platypus says: We couldn’t make filtering water with the GravityWorks System any easier, so we made it smaller and lighter. The GravityWorks 2.0L system holds up to four liters (depending on configuration), is light weight and packs small, making it ideal for 1-4 people in the backcountry.
Two kits and a range of accessories allow both filtering and backflushing with whatever you like to drink from
Gravity fed water filtration systems are quite new - this one is very light indeed - so its ideal for camp use. On the downside filters can get clogged - and this one will be no different - if you expect to take water from sources without sediment then this would be a good choice to filter out the nasties heavily contaminated water will clog it quickly though and it would only work excruciatingly slowly!
There are a couple of versions of the Gravityworks now, the original had two hanging reservoirs, this one has one to hang somewhere with the clean side reservoir being a bottle - this format is easier to use once its full of clean water. Both the dirty resrvoir and the bottle receptacle are 2.0L.
The kit also includes a universal bottle adaptor. If you prefer to use a rigid bottle for your drinking water then the adaptor allows you to filter straight into it rather than the platy bottle that comes with the kit.
