The Adventurer Opti is half the size of the SteriPEN Classic. Because it`s fast light (under 105g/4 oz) easy and effective it`s perfect for hikers and campers who value powerful products in small packages with no loss of effectiveness.
The new optical sensor doubles as a convenient LED flashlight. It’s a great backup light when camping or taking a night-time walk to refill your water bottle. The Flashlight mode is activated by pressing and holding the single button down for 3 seconds. The clear lamp cover focuses the LED light. The Adventurer Opti retail package includes 2 non-rechargeable (disposable) CR123 batteries and a neoprene case with belt loop. Device works with containers with minimum 1.75 in. diameter opening (ie Nalgene wide-mouth bottles).
Purify 0.5 litres in 48 seconds or 1 litre in 90 seconds!
`Easy and quick to use far simpler than any filter. I presume it worked as I didn`t get sick even though some of the water was badly polluted. The Adventurer Opti also has a small LED light in one end which was useful when I needed to change headlamp batteries in the dark.` - Chris Townsend TGO February 2011.Proven Technology in the LabUV light destroys the DNA of bacteria viruses and parasitic protozoa. When used as directed SteriPEN:Destroys Giardia and Cryptosporidium Kills 99.9999% of bacteria such as Salmonella and E. coli Eliminates over 99.99% of viruses such as hepatitis and poliovirus and 99.9% of protozoaSurpasses U.S. E.P.A.
