Black Diamond's Trekking Pole Tip Protectors will fit all Black Diamond trekking poles with Flex Tips and most other brands of trekking poles too. They stop that annoying 'chip chip' sound on rocks and roads as well as preventing scratching to the rocks.
Black Diamond says:
For added grip and noise and terrain scarring reduction. Works on all BD poles except the First Strike, Distance Series Z-Poles, aluminum ski poles, and Helio Fixed Length Carbon ski poles. Sold in pairs.
Our Verdict
If you are going to hit tarmac anywhere on your route it may be worth taking a pair of these rubber tips along otherwise strangers turn around as you approach and look disapproving as you 'chink... chink' up the road - I'm used to it.
