The Revolution is an easy to pitch, good sized shelter for two. A solid design provides protection from the elements while the size and weight make it ideal for longer backpacking trips.
Big Sky International says:
The Big Sky Revolution 2 sets a new benchmark for ultralight luxury. Weighing in at only 1.32kg, this tent is still one of the most spacious two-person tents on the market. With a storm proof design and expansive sheltered vestibules, the Revolution 2 will keep you (and your gear) dry when the barometer drops. The exoskeleton design allows for the inner and fly to be kept together for fast pitching, and when pitching in the rain the fly can be separated to keep the inner dry. The crossing pole extends the roof outside the floor plan, so the door can be left open without exposing the interior to rain.
The Revolution 2 has two inner options: Breathable nylon fabric OR See through mesh fabric. For warmer conditions the mesh interior is perfect, allowing exceptional ventilation for hot nights, and for colder climates the breathable inner would be ideal as it retains heat inside the tent.
Big Sky International's Revolution 2 Person Tent has an all-in-one pitch design with the poles being attached to the outer part of the flysheet. This is great in challenging and wet conditions as it makes pitching a lot quicker and easier. The SuprSil material is lightweight and withstands the elements really well making ideal for long backpacking trips. The two entrances provide two decent sized vestibules for kit and the internal space with a decent head height mean this is a really good for two people.
The sole difference between the two 2 person versions is the inner tent. With this version the inner is made from a breathable fabric that will keep more of the heat in and provide and insulating effect. It is more ideally suited to colder conditions as it is not as breathable or well ventilated as the mesh net inner version.
