The Big Agnes Fly Creek UL2 uses the latest materials to lower the weight bar. With this trend we are seeing much bigger lightweight backpacking tents offering more comfort, in many cases for less weight. The Fly Creek is a good example of this concept, we particularly like the high fabric inner - only the top section and door is mesh, this gives a good compromise between ventilation, wind protection and warmth.

The High Volume part of this tent is the redesign of the pole structure which adds significant extra space inside. The Fly Creek has storm guys which also act to keep the volume of the inner at maximum as well as giving some reassurance during windy conditions.

Good option in the price range

Good value for money. I used this tent on the Pacific Crest Trest and it held up really well in rain, snow, etc. It is not the sturdiest so it struggled once the winds hit 40mph+ but it's an ultralight product so you accept that it is not designed for certain extreme conditions. In terms of its weight/price/comfort ratio, it is decent value for money. I camped alone but appreciated the additional space and room in a 2-man version.

One of best tents money can buy.

This is a fine gear indeed. I have used Fly Creek several times in two-three day forest hikes and I am glad to own this one a lot. It's just the sort of high quality equipment that works properly and serves you well. I am 170cm tall so the tent has enough space for me as a single user. Besides, this gear is an excellent example of fantastic weight-space-money ratio. What do you else want from a tent?!
