We love Big Agnes's Copper Spur HV UL series because they are truly freestanding with excellent headroom, near vertical walls and two decent sized porches (except Copper Spur HV UL1) for this class of tent. The Bikepacking title relates to shorter pack size for the tent poles and a bag that you can strap to your bike.
Big Agnes says:
Three season, free standing, ultralight bikepacking tents.
From our award-winning, best-selling line of Copper Spur HV UL tents comes a bikepacking tent designed for on and off-road, two-wheeled travel. The pole segments have been shortened for optimal handlebar, pannier, and saddlebag storage. The burly compression stuff sack with a daisy chain makes storing these tents anywhere, a cinch. Enjoy the comforts of extras like an oversized storage pocket, webbing for dry helmet storage, and all the other features that make two-door Copper Spur HV UL tents the bomb.

We really like Big Agnes's Copper Spur series of tents because they are not much heavier than the Fly Creek but they are truly freestanding and you get a good head height which is maintained over a wide area due to the cross pole arrangement. This 4-way high volume hub pole design increases it's strength by 25% and it's usable interior volume by 20% compared to previous versions of the Copper Spur.
The walls are nearly vertical and there is a good mix of fabric and mesh on the inner tent - this give a good compromise between privacy, warmth and wind resistance - making it suitable for a wide range of conditions.
The Copper Spur HV UL 2 has two doors and two decent sized porches for a tent in this category with internal mesh pockets for bits and bobs. External storm guying points at the business end give reassurance for windy conditions.
This tent is designed for bikepackers, the short pole sections and custom storage bag let you stow the tent away on your bike. You can strap it to your handlesbars or stuff it in a pannier, even the poles will fit at only 12" long.
