Integral Designs Silshelter Tent/Tarp Shelter is a simple lightweight shelter than utilises a trekking pole as its structure. With no zippers access is via a fold-across doorway.

Integral Designs says:

The Silshelter is an ultralight siliconized nylon tarp specially shaped to set up on a hiking pole as a two person stand-alone shelter. Intended for use in conjunction with a bivy in above treeline conditions. Non slip Neotek pole cap holds hiking pole in place at reinforced apex. with a second pole wrap prop-point in the centre of the shelter.

There are 21 webbing tie outs on corners and edges (one on the outside of the pole cup to enable suspension from a tree) and 3 webbing tie loops on the body of the tarp. The front entrance flaps can be left open for ventilation or overlapped and staked for a weather tight closure. The Silshelter has no zippers. Pitch off ground level for best ventilation. The Silshelter will attach to front of many tents as a simple vestibule.

Provides a huge amount of room for one person less so for two but still adequate the Integral Designs Silshelter also offers excellent headroom. As the shelter tapers to the floor it provides good weather protection as well.

Silshelter

I bought a Silsheter last Spring and used it on 3 long distance walks in 2016. I have to say it is the best shelter I own and I own a fair few. If used in combination with an ultralight groundsheet, it is effectively a 2-man tent and has masses of space for me and my 46 litre Osprey backpack. It has held up against some fierce winds and heavy rain without letting in any water. Also, with it being tarp you can ventilate it really well and as a result I have experienced virtually no condensation. I can't recommend it highly enough and to be honest all of my other tents including my Skyscape Trekker are now pretty much redundant.
