A lightweight trekking pole tent with loads of internal space. The quality materials and clever design make this pyramid style tent an eye catching shelter where ever you pitch up.
The Free Spirit Tents says:
The free spirit Dawn, an attractive pyramid tent, is different from most of the homogeneity of products in the international market. The semicircle full open fly door makes whole cone tent not only like a "pyramid", but also like a "palace". Dawn is a lightweight design for a single pyramid tent, the gross weight is only about 940g (not including groundsheet). Compared with other quadrangle shaped pyramid tents, the hexagon shape of Dawn has better spatial advantages, as well as better structural stability and wind resistance.
The 6 fly stakes will make the building process more simple and efficient. What’s more, the groundsheet’s semicircle part can be opened for cooking and package (groundsheet sold separately). The design of Dawn has been highly recognized by Dyneema, a famous international fabric supplier (Dyneema company, the parent company of Cuben fabric), and the customized Cuben version of Dawn has been strongly recommended.
The TFS Dawn Tent is a great option if you are looking for a lightweight trekking pole tent with loads of space inside.
There is room in the vestibule for all your kit plus space to spare for cooking etc. It's worth bearing in mind that the steeply sloping sides on the Dawn do mean that if you are over 6ft tall you are likely to have your head or feet in contact with the inner tent once you are lying on a thick air mattress. Perhaps a tent better suited for those of us who are a little shorter (under 6ft).
The door on the Dawn flysheet is huge and forms a striking arched entrance so that you can sit inside and enjoy a panoramic view (weather allowing).
The Dawn isn't seam sealed but comes with a tube of silicone sealant for if you are planning to use the tent in wet climates. We would recommend seam sealing the tent for use in Northern Europe.
