Nigor's WickiUp 6 offers amazing 'livability' in quite a lightweight package, you can stand up in it and move around with very little restriction. The Pyramid design is very stable and sheds the wind effectively.
Nigor says: Ultra Lightweight tent system, which offers our best space-to-weight ratio. The WickiUp series has been constructed from Gorlyn 20 fabric using high-tenacity nylon 6.6, with a yarn thickness of 20 denier, which has a higher tensile strength than regular and most used nylon in tent construction. The pyramid style design with one DAC center pole cuts weight in a big way.
The Wiki Up 6 delivers superb `livability` at a very low weight. The inner tent has the corner cut off to create a porch area and the design allows you to stand up inside. If you are concerned about wind resistance, don`t be. Pyramid designs have proven themselves to be very stable, especially if you add storm guys to the loops provided. With all the pegging points used the Wiki Up design sheds wind really well.
The inner tent has fabric half way up the sides then mesh around the top section, this is a good combination offering privacy and good ventilation. The build quality is excellent and the fabrics are considerably stronger than on many other lightweight tents. Nigor has specified a 10,000mm hydrostatic head groundsheet. This is a higher spec. than generally used and will appeal to many.
The design has been tweaked recently and the new version has more components, but this is the previous model with the double inner tent - a bit less flexible but lighter, and cheaper.
