Our ultralight zippered stowage solution. They are much more accessible than a stuffsack and because of their shape they tend to fit well into your pack.

The “bath tub” construction leaves no seams to leak when they are set on the wet earth or in the bottom of a kayak for that matter. The perfect packing system for clothes and food.

Cordura Sil-Nylon body Up until now Cordura was only available in the familiar 500 dernier or 1000 dernier. Dupont recently changed that and is now using their proprietary High Tenacity nylon yarns in many innovative new ways. High Tenacity yarns are stretched as they are made making them much stronger than regular nylon.

Granite Gear worked closely with Dupont to develop this fabric for the Air-Line series of ultralight packing systems. The result is a 1.1oz Sil-Nylon ripstop fabric with the strength of a much heavier fabric.Fitted with water resistant YKK zips - the zip is coated wwith a waterproof tape to keep water from wicking into the sack. The teeth are turned to the inside of the sack to protect them from the elements. They`re not completely waterproof but they keep out almost all moisture.Fully Finished Seams Details details - you won`t find any raw edges or sloppy stitching - guaranteed.

Can`t work out why this idea hasn`t been used before so much better for bits and bobs spare clothing or food than your traditional stuffsack. Ultralight and portable.

Airspace has been rebranded Zippsack identical product but now without the plastic container - replaced by an even more useful zip mesh pouch.

Perfect for what I want

I wanted a strong lightweight zipped bag that was easy to get dried meal bags in and out of. I can get 5 days worth of breakfast, dinner and pudding in the (so called) 9 litre bag. This is great and will allow me to store and organise my kit/food better in my rucksack. I do find that the bag sizing of "9 Litres" very deceiving, as it is not 9 litres in size, taking the measurements of 24x15x13cm = 4,680cm2 = 4.68 litres, a fraction over half the specified volume. The 9 litre bag is about the size of a small petrol can, which holds a UK gallon of fuel 4.54-ish litres. The same can be said about the inch measurements to 10x8x6 inches = 480cu inches, not the 550 cu inches as specified on their Air Zippsack Bag. I think they need to check their sizing, for this reason 4 stars. The bag is well made, good carry handles, good zip and I hope in the field it will be just what I need, I measured up the products I wanted and then choose the bag I wanted from measurement, don't take their litre sizing as accurate, it is not.
