Exped Fold Drybags UL use the lightest fabrics to produce one of the lightest drybags available, with a roll top closure and fully taped seams. With an improved design providing you with more usable space these bags just got better.
Exped says:
Ultralight (= UL), waterproof drybags with roll-top closure made of 15 D ripstop nylon with silicone coating on the outside and PU coating on the inside. Perfect for usage when every gram counts. Fully taped seams and with a lightweight version of the closure and buckle. The translucent fabric allows you to recognize the contents. No base grab handle.
Exped's Fold Drybag UL are the lightest within the Exped range. They are are still waterproof with taped seams and the roll top closure making them exceptional, high performing storage options. The only thing that's missing compared to the heavier drybags is a grab handle. Obviously, they are not as durable as those made from heavier material but the weight saving is significant if you are particularly weight conscious.
The weight of the UL Drybags are about half that of the standard Drybags yet there is little difference in performance.
We've summarised the various types of Exped Fold Drybags below:
I have recently returned from a 2200+ mile, 10 week bike packing/touring trip from Lands End to the end of cycle route 1 at the north of the Shetland Islands. An UL XXS bag was a critical part of my setup. I used it to hang an iMuto Taurus X5TC 16750mAh power bank from the handlebar, to both free up space in my frame bag, but also so I could charge my devices from the power-bank while on the bike and have the device and power bank easily removable if I went for an impromptu hike. Ok, the UL is not quite robust enough for the job and during the 10 week it lost its full waterproofness (probably due to abrasion or the time it dropped off the bike) and I couldn't fully roll the bag water tight given that I used the loop to hang the bag. However, any resultant minor dampness inside the bag never seemed to affect the power bank. Before my next trip I plan to purchase the standard version of the XXS bag for increased robustness. In fact I will purchase two such bags so I can hang two power banks from the handlebar, one either side of the top tube.

Amazing job at amazing weight
Very happy with the 13L (blue bag). It weighs 27g on my scale and I've been able to fit my quilt, sleep clothes, spare underwear and a puffy with room to spare for my electronics. I very rarely carry a pack cover so a good dry sack in my rucksack is essential for important bits. To test it I put a few loo rolls inside, closed it up and stuck in in the shower for 10 mins, not a splash! The material is super light but a bit thin so it will require a lot of care and I'm yet to see if it can withstand a bramble or two. Nevertheless, highly recommend.
