UOG TOP PICK - Evernew's EBY-255 Titanium Multifuel Stove - We've singled out Evernew's EBY-255 Titanium Multifuel Stove as one of our top recommendations because it's easy to use and works well with meths or fuel tablets. Burning wood is a bit more fiddly but still do-able, it just takes a bit of patience. Disadvantage? Well its a tall unit in use and so needs to be set on flat steady ground.

Evernew says: Multifuel stove which can burn either Methylated Spirits, Wood and Leaves or Esbit tablets.

If you want the flexibility of cooking with twigs or Meths then this Evernew stove is about the lightest option available. Weighing 86g in total, its an amazingly light and compact system. The burner itself is very high quality with fuel capacity graduations to make it easy to fill to the correct level.

The complete unit is easily bent out of shape so it needs storing properly when transporting - inside a cooking pot is ideal.

Very light meths setup

A great bit of folding kit, fits nicely in my MSR 800ml Ti kettle which also protects it. To make the setup even lighter, I use a "penny can" meths burner (superior, pressure burner), which is made from an old Alu beer can! The burn plate seems to add efficiency by reducing the distance of the flame to the pot to its optimum. Made a measuring cup for meths from a shave foam cap which fits to Nalgene bottle, and a Alu windshield from rectangular pie trays. All together a perfect light weight set up.
