Superior under windy conditions!
Unique raised ledge at crown of burner head and concave burner surface boost performance under windy conditions.

Ultimate compact stove
Incredibly compact when pot supports are folded away. Excellent for backpacking.

SOTO's Amicus Stove is a great stove for camping and backpacking and it includes many of the features found on their more expensive models including four folding pot stand supports and a recessed burner head that provides superior performance in windy conditions.

When not in use, the pot stand supports and simmer control fold up compactly, making this stove easy to store with a gas canister inside most small cook pots. The Amicus is a quality stove for the cost if you want a stove that you can simmer food with and mix and match with a lot of different cook pots.

Great stove

Had a BRS 3000t - even with slightest breeze, it would take forever to boil water. Tried with alcohol stoves and windscreen -better, but too much fiddling. I will still bring then as a backup for winter camping. Then I read some reviews online and decided to buy this stove. It fits my needs perfectly and it is possible to cook in breeze/wind. Feels like a quality piece of kit and it is compact. If you are planning to boil 0.5+L of water and cook "real" meals, skip all other stoves and buy this or the SOTO Windmaster if budget allows.

Outstanding

I've had this stove for a few years. I got it purely because of how lightweight it was. I had never heard of Soto before.

It's never failed me yet, and I don't go camping anywhere without it. I got the one without the igniter because I always carry a lighter with me but for a few extra grams, it might be no harm. The way it folds into itself it brilliant for saving space as it fits into most cooking pots. Would highly recommend this little guy.
