UOG TOP PICK - Fire Maple's FMS-117T Titanium Gas Stove - Lowest Weight Remote Gas Canister Stove - We've singled out Fire Maple's FMS-117T as one of our top recommendations because it's remarkably light for a remote gas stove. The advantage is stability, ability to use a windscreen effectively and ease of adjustment.

Fire Maple says: Remote gas canister stove with wide 14.5cm pan supports and wide burner head.

Remarkably lightweight Fire Maple's FMS-117T is a very well crafted stove. Remote stoves are more stable than gas canister mounted versions which can be unstable. You can also use a windscreen without fear of heating up the gas canister so some people feel they are safer and easier to use.

To get one this light is amazing - my preference was always to save weight and use a canister mounted stove - but this stove challenges that - I bought one.

Note that early models of this stove had a problem with the gas regulator, it wasn't dangerous but it broke. This has now been recitifed.

It fell apart

The burner unit's top fell out, then the regulator tread attached itself to the gas canister rendering the burner useless. Both seems to be design-flaws. Ultralight should withdraw the product.
