Darn Tough make super comfortable socks that have a comfortable seamless, fit and they have a reputation for great durability too. I love wearing mine and have found them to be the most comfortable socks for everything from walking to running and simple everyday wear. The Haselton Hiker Micro Crew Socks are no different.
All of the Darn Tough socks use a combination of Merino Wool, Nylon and Lycra Spandex. The amounts of each material vary according to what you’d use the sock for. This means that the socks are all good for all year round use, they are antimicrobial and odour resistant. However, with more merino you get more focus on breathability and comfort for a range of conditions whereas, with a higher amount of nylon the socks wick better and dry quicker.
There are also 9 levels of cushioning from ‘Ultra-Light’ race socks through to the super thick, padded ‘Extra Cushion’. Depending on what you need or want, it is definitely worth the time thinking about which sock will best suit the activities you will be wearing them for.

Comfy, wicking, and no blisters on the WHW
Just did the West Highland Way using these socks and two other pairs of Darn Tough light micro crew socks and found them to be excellent. No blisters during the entire West Highland Way. I made the mistake of wearing SealSkinz on one of the first days and got a blister almost immediately, switched to these socks and had absolutely no issues the rest of the way. Of course this will depend on the footwear you go for as well but with my Hoka One One Speedgoat 4 Gore-Tex trail runners, they were super comfy, they wick well, dry quick enough once washed and didn't smell! So happy walking in these : ) They will definitely be my go to socks for all my treks from now on.
