A Buff is a must have piece of kit for any trek, lightweight and stretchy tube provides insulation, sun & wind protection and can be used in a variety of ways. The Wool Buff is made from 100% Merino Wool.
Buff says: Wool BUFF is a multifunctional, tubular accessory ideal for many activities. The Merino wool in Wool Buff keeps you warm in the cold, wicks moisture to keep you cool when it’s hot and being anti-microbial, does not start to smell after wear. This natural fabric is super soft, odour resistant, water repellent and offers UV Protection.
The NEW tie-dyed designs mean that each garment is unique and the dyed stripes designs use a new knitting technique to produce these fabulous stripey garments.
Wool BUFF can be worn as a neckerchief, balaclava, scarf or saharaine.
Buff's Original Buff is a classic piece of outdoor kit. Marketed to within an inch of its life it nonetheless is a pretty useful thing. I won't go on a long trek without one and I usually wear it around my neck where it adds quite a bit of warmth and protects my neck from the sun.
It sometimes gets too hot to wear but for the cooler three seasons its an everyday accessory. There are times when I've worn it across my nose and mouth to protect against windblown dust and there are times when I've worn it in beanie mode - though I like a bespoke beanie as a first choice.
So I haven't really explored the other configurations but I don't need to - I know what it does for me and I really find it useful. Buff's Wool Buff is made from 100% Merino Wool so softness is a given - but the Wool Buff still retains the key stretch and flexible fit functionality of the original.
