Buff's Original Buff is a classic piece of outdoor kit. Marketed to within an inch of its life it nonetheless is a pretty useful thing. I won't go on a long trek without one and I usually wear it around my neck where it adds quite a bit of warmth and protects my neck from the sun.
It sometimes gets too hot to wear but for the cooler three seasons its an everyday accessory. There are times when I've worn it across my nose and mouth to protect against windblown dust and there are times when I've worn it in beanie mode - though I like a bespoke beanie as a first choice.
So I haven't really explored the other configurations but I don't need to - I know what it does for me and I really find it useful. Buff's Helmet Liner Pro Buff is a short length Buff with a low bulk high wick fabric for use under protective headgear.
