The Charter Hat has taken the sun fedora to another level of sophistication and performance. With the new integrated crown support the lightweight Charter Hat achieves an incredibly comfortable fit coupled with a crisp and distinguished look.
Sunday Afternoons says:
Because the trails of life lead through uncharted territory, the Charter Hat is ready for anything. All the sun protection you expect from Sunday Afternoons, plus strategic ventilation and a moisture wicking sweatband keep you cool while you wander. The Charter is such a good companion, it even holds your sunglasses for you.
Sunday Afternoons hats offer incredible performance! We don`t say that lightly Sunday Afternoons are committed to designing headgear that protect the wearer from the Sun and they achieve this in spades. The protection they offer is invaluable.
I wore the Adventure Hat for the first time while trekking last year I normally get a sunburned face nose and ears in the first day or so of a walk - this is because I`m usually a bit slow at putting the lotion on - and the run-of-the-mill hats you can get don`t achieve full protection. Last year due to the Adventure hat I didn`t get sunburned at all! The hat performed superbly - though after three weeks it looked a bit worse for wear - its recommended that you roll it to store it but on the Trail I wasn`t too careful.
The Charter hat has a nice wide brim which takes care of the sun protection its well-constructed and the brim is wired this means its not crushable but it does have some nice features l like the tiny internal pocket for those emergency notes etc!
The chin cord is fixed but can be snipped off if desired - the hat size can be fine tuned using the internal strap and so it won`t blow off in any but the strongest winds.
