Building on the classic Charter Hat this new Breeze version is super breathable but fully protective in terms of the sun. Even the mesh sections that provide the ventilation are rated to UPF 50.
Sunday Afternoons says:
With a stylish fedora silhouette and Sunglass Lock™ to keep glasses firmly in place, the Charter Breeze Hat even floats in water! Interior adjustable sizing helps it fit without losing shape, and removable chinstrap can stow in the hidden crown pocket.
Sunday Afternoons Charter Breeze Hathats offer incredible performance! We don`t say that lightly Sunday Afternoons are committed to designing headgear that protect the wearer from the Sun and they achieve this in spades. The protection they offer is invaluable.
The Charter Breeze has ventilated mesh on the crown which increase breathability dramatically and keeps you comfortable for longer. It also offers a high amount of sun protection, combined with it's UPF 50+ run rating for the mesh as well as the rest of the fabric. Its well-constructed and the brim is wired which means its not crushable but it does have some nice features. The sunglasses lock is really useful as wearing shades on the brightest days is common and finding somewhere safe and secure to place them can be difficult without a feature like this.
The chin cord is fixed but can be snipped off if desired - the hat size can be fine tuned using the internal strap and so it won`t blow off in any but the strongest winds.
