Outdoor Research says:
Tested in some of the heartiest downpours in the world, the Backpacker® Magazine award-winning “Sea Som” is a rainy day classic. This GORE-TEX hard shell hat offers ultimate waterproof protection, and the brushed tricot lining wicks perspiration away from the skin. The wide, flexible brim directs water away from your face when in monsoon-like conditions, or folds up when they're not in use.

Outdoor Research's 2021 Seattle Sombrero has a classic design with a wide brim providing loads of shelter. By using a wide brim with Gore-Tex fabric this hat protects you from the sun and the rain. Building on this versatile approach the hat uses Velcro tabs on either side for you to fix the brim up to allow more airflow and there is an adjustable chin strap for when the wind picks up too. The hat is breathable enough and the lining inside the crown does a good job of wicking moisture and keeping you comfortable when you heat up.
This is a really nice hat that works in all weather. The brim keeps the sun off your face and neck and when it's raining you can keep your hood down as this keeps the rain from getting in your jacket most of the time. It is more comfortable than you would expect too.
