A carefully crafted mix of GRANITE STRETCH softshell and Nylon reinforcement panels make this fully waterproof glove extremely dexterous yet tough. Lined throughout with DRYACTIV 2000 deep pile lining that is quick drying and warm, and reinforced with Goats leather this glove is designed to lock out the elements keeping hands comfortable and protected on the inside.
Our Verdict
Montane's Supercell Gloves use a combination of fabrics to create a very warm, tough and waterproof mountaineering glove. The outer fabric is super durable thanks to mix of tough 500D Nylon and Granite Stretch fabrics, paired with a goat leather palm and panels for extra reinforcement.
Internally the Freeflow Mantle inner waterproof lining ensures your hands stay dry, preventing water entry for ultimate comfort. The pile fleece lining offers a good amount of warmth, is quick drying and feels incredibly cosy.
Feature wise it's got what you would expect from a good mountaineering glove. A gauntlet cuff with lockable adjustment to prevent weather entry, elasticated wrist and leash straps creating a comfortable and secure fit, and added grip to the palm and fingers to make them more usable with kit. Even the little loop on the finger will make them much easier to pull on and off. Everything has been well thought out.
Overall they feel like tough winter gloves that could stand up to any conditions from the moment you put them on.
