Rab's 2018 Storm Gloves have a Porelle Dry lining making them waterproof while the insulation comes from synthetic Pyrotec material. The design and fabrics used in the Storm Mitt make them ideal for the cold, wet British conditions encountered in the hills and mountains. The double cinch across the wrist then at the cuff give you that extra confidence that nothing is going to get in that you don't want and so far that has proved to be the case. The soft leather palms improve grip and the reinforcements improve durability massively.
They can be a bit of a struggle to get your hands back in when you've got cold and wet but this is the same as most other gloves. They do stay warm with the Pyrotec insulation even when you've got them wet from putting wet hands in them repeatedly which is a big plus during the winter.
